The Canary Islands-Cuba Solidarity Network held a rally supporting the Revolution outside the US Consulate in Las Palmas, sources close to the group emphasized this Thursday.
Madrid.- The rejection of the US economic blockade and Cuba’s inclusion in Washington’s State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list were the leading points of the demonstration, to which Cuban residents in the Canary Islands, Spain, attended.
Cubainformacion reported that Isabel Talavera, activist of the Canary Islands-Cuba Solidarity Network, stated, “Cuba’s example for so many other nations, with its support in defense of culture and health (…), is the Yankees’ real concern.”
Talavera added to the website directed by José Manzaneda that “both in the COVID-19 pandemic, when that Caribbean nation supported with vaccines, or with the medical brigades that even reached some places in Europe, and in the unconditional support to nations in Africa to fight Ebola, Cuba exports medicine, health, and culture, not bullets or bombs.”
The State Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MESC) made similar expressions across Spain, especially since US President Donald Trump took office on January 20. (PL)
