Pyongyang.- "Cuba has supported and will continue to support the Democratic Republic of Korea in its efforts in the constitution of socialism for the achievement of a lasting peace in the peninsula and for the reunification of its homeland," said the Cuban leader.
Valdés participated in commemorations for the 70th anniversary of the DPRK's proclamation in this capital, on behalf of the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Raúl Castro, and of the Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel.
In this regard, he expressed that Cuba will reaffirm the high priority it gives to its relations with the DPRK, based on the special relationship between our historical leaders and the current leaders.
"We commemorate, along with the brothers of the DPRK, an important event in history, fruit of the heroic strength and achievements of that people under the leadership of the Korean Labor Party (PTC) and the great leader Kim Il-sung," he said. (PL)
