The travel agency AMISTUR is attending today the L'Humanite Festival in France to promote its diverse travel options to Cuba, focused on socio-political and cultural tourism.

Paris.- "We have the will to promote the development of this tourism that is highly demanded, and the objective is to guide all interested participants to services, institutions and tour operators that have that profile," Rosa Adela Mejías, tourism counselor at the Cuban Embassy in France, told Prensa Latina.

Mejías stated that the agency, attached to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), offers a wide range of products that can meet the most diverse expectations from clients.

Mailín Sánchez, AMISTUR's sales expert, stressed the importance of being present at the L'Humanite Festival, which considered the meeting of progressive forces in France.

"This festival is an essential space to promote this different and alternative tourism. Those who participate in the L'Humanite Festival have specific interests to know more about Cuban society, the achievements the Revolution has made in nearly 60 years and its step forward at present," she said.

Among the offered travel programs, there is one dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Revolution, which will allow visitors to discuss in depth about Cuba's situation and what has been achieved in those six decades.

A tourist package on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the foundation of Havana is also proposed to allow holidaymakers to learn about the history of the Cuban capital and the works done by the Office of the Historian to restore monuments and emblematic sites that are strongholds of the country's cultural heritage.
