Havana, Cuba.- Odalis Goicochea, director at the Ministry of Science Technology and Environment (CITMA) states that participants in the event will reflect on the actions to reduce vulnerability in the agricultural sector destined to the production of food in the island.
They will also exchange during a plenary session at Havana's Conference Center on resilient animal production in Latin America and the Caribbean.
A round table discussion on the holistic approach in managing livestock systems stands out among the new issues of the debate.
The so-called new paradigm of animal nutrition with tropical resources will be also under discussion on Friday.
The congress, to be run until this Friday under the slogan: 'For the resilience of livestock systems', is sponsored by the Cuban Association of Animal Production, the Indio Hatuey Pastures and Forage Experimental Station and the Institute of Animal Science. (PL)
