The Russian military forces have retaken several important strongholds near the Novomikhailovka area in Donetsk, and the Ukrainian formations are suffering significant losses, Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic, said on Thursday.

Moscow.- The senior Chechen official posted on Telegram that with the soldiers’ progress for the 20th Guards Division’s assault units, a wide margin of maneuver opens for the Akhmat special forces.

“The unit’s fighters are gradually clearing the area of their responsibility at the front, destroying enemy strongholds and Western equipment,” Kadyrov said.

“It was notable that the enemy has prepared well for such a scenario; the Ukrainian forces have built a whole underground city, which poses some difficulties,” he stressed.

“The Akhmat group is driving out the enemy even from seemingly inaccessible positions,” Kadyrov noted. (PL)
