The meeting between the presidents and their delegations takes place at the National University of Colombia, in Leticia

Presidents from Colombia and Brazil will participate today in the closing plenary session of the Road to the Amazon Summit.

Leticia, Colombia.- The meeting aims to agree on a strategy to guarantee the integrity of the ecosystem, stop the destructive use of the land and prevent the point of no return from being reached, as a response to the climate and biodiversity crisis.

The meeting between the two heads of state and their respective delegations will take place at the headquarters of the National University of Colombia in Leticia, moments before the closing plenary of the technical-scientific meeting of the Amazon.

This event represents the starting point for the creation of a new agenda for Amazon based on science, ancestral knowledge, social inclusion, and the participation of all stakeholders who will contribute to the design and implementation of innovative public policies for the protection of this important ecosystem.
