Belizean Prime Minister Winds Up Visit to Cuba

Belizean Prime Minister Dean Oliver Barrow on Friday wound up an official visit to Cuba, where he was officially welcomed by President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel, as well as carries out other activities.

 

Havana, Cuba.- Barrow arrived in Cuba on Tuesday with the aim of strengthening relations between the two countries and dealing with Díaz-Canel important issues in the Latin American and Caribbean region, the visitor himself said upon his arrival in Havana.

After the official reception and the protocol ceremony at the Palace of the Revolution, the Cuban and Belizean statesmen held official talks on the links between the two meetings and other issues of bilateral interest.

In a cordial atmosphere, they agreed on the will to continue strengthening both countries' ties.

In the presence of authorities and diplomatic officials from the two nations, Díaz-Canel and Barrow also exchanged issues of interest on the regional and international agenda.

Before the meeting, Barrow paid tribute to Cuban National Hero, José Martí, at the Memorial that bears the name of the independence leader.

During exclusive statements to national television on Thursday, the Belizean prime minister also rejected the interference in the internal affairs of Nicaragua and Venezuela. (PL)
