A summary meeting that brings together several ministers, as well as the directors of the main entities of this province, marks the closure on Saturday of the first government visit to Las Tunas, led by the president of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz- Canel Bermúdez.

 

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The main economic and social indicators of the territory of Las Tunas are put on the table at a meeting with the attendance of the wide-ranging delegation, which led by the Cuban President, toured the province yesterday.

The commission includes the first Vice-president of the Councils of State and Ministers, Salvador Valdés Mesa, who evaluated the programs of the sugar harvest and agriculture in the south of the territory.

The day before, Díaz-Canel Bermúdez specifically toured the Antonio Guiteras sugar mill, the Calixto García pre-university institute and the Raymundo Castro pediatric hospital, in the municipality of Puerto Padre; in the provincial capital he visited the Acinox stainless steel and the Paco Cabrera metal structures companies, as well as the University of Las Tunas, the Mártires de Las Tunas pediatric hospital and finally, the historic city center.

Meanwhile, several vice presidents of the Council of Ministers and the rest of the cabinet members in charge of the economic and social sectors held their own contacts with entities and institutions attached to their respective spheres, in an agenda termed by them as intense.
