Havana, Cuba.- Experts from 15 countries could learn about Cuban experiences during the 2nd Workshop for the Training in Life Support in Emergencies and Disasters that will be held in parallel with the conclave, at the Conference Center in Havana.
The practices in training specialists, the cardiopulmonary and brain resuscitation and the academic alternatives for the instruction are part of the scientific program of the congress.
Several keynote speeches will be also held on nursing training in trauma, how to form rapid response teams intra and extra hospital, and several viewpoints in caring pregnant women in critical condition.
This edition of URGRAV informed that Cuba joins the Latin American Prehospital Care Association (ALAPH). This entity granted Pedro Luis Veliz, president of the Cuban Society of the specialty, a recognition for his brilliant organization of the congress.
Guatemalan Ronny Contreras, president of ALAPH, highlighted the work carried out by the Cubans in disaster situations, as well as the discipline and organization of these professionals in serving hundreds and thousands of people. (PL)
