Díaz-Canel Checks on Tourism Supply Program

The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, has reportedly assessed the supply program for tourism, a duty of the Ministry of Food Industry.

 

Havana, Cuba.- According to national television reports, at the meeting, Díaz-Canel indicated that work should be done to reduce costs so that profits are higher and reiterated the importance of productive chains between agriculture, national industry and tourism.

In addition, the President referred to the importance of encouraging producers to contribute more, reported the evening edition of the national news.

The Minister of the Food Industry, Iris Quiñones, said that 803 assortments are currently being delivered to tourism and work is being done to increase production capacity in order to meet demands and increase import substitution.

Díaz-Canel also checked on the employment program in the country, an issue in which he called to prevent possible prejudices that may arise in the non-state hiring.

In this sense, the President affirmed that discrimination in Cuba is inadmissible. (PL)
