Havana, Cuba.- Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, first secretary of the Havana Party Provincial Committee, congratulated the construction workers on their efforts, and said that with their work they were contributing to the Homeland and the commitment of the country's authorities not to leave anyone abandoned to their fate, as reported by ACN.
The Director of Operations of the Blas Roca Calderío Contingent, Soraima Martínez, explained that the property was in a serious state of deterioration, which is why the works took a little longer to complete than the two months originally planned. The new building has one, two and three bedroom apartments.
In March, 70 families were handed the keys to their new homes, after a student residence in Alamar was transformed into a multi-family building. Previously, ten apartments had been completed and handed over in February, in Guanabacoa.
The first quarter of the year saw 2,480 cases of tornado damage to homes resolved through various construction methods. (Granma)
