Havana, Cuba.- In a meeting with national and Havana's leaders to analyze the measures being implemented, Díaz-Canel recalled that the temporary shortage of fuel is due to the intensification of the U.S. blockade.
The president praised initiatives such as the support of the police and inspectors that are helping speed up the transportation of passengers during peak hours.
In his words he ratified fundamental concepts of work to achieve the implementation of the measures: political-ideological work from all areas of economic, social and political life in the country; the preparation of the delegates of all constituencies to explain to the residents; and the willingness to close ranks to the counterrevolution, which we are going to face with people's and our arguments.
«It is imperative to work differently, with courage, intelligence, responsibility, optimism, creativity, without regrets and with certainty; seeking in every possible way to protect the population, and that's why we need an exemplary attitude of the leaders, " he said.
The call of the Cuban President was clear: to work with unity, with patriotism, to incorporate young people, to save on everything, especially fuel, to not allow price increases, hoarding or speculation.
The linking of state and non-state management was another of the president's orientations.
In his opinion, «to the same extent that we leave this situation, that we provide solutions for the future, we will all be better cadres, better public servants, better revolutionaries, better citizens. We will get stronger from this situation ».
For his part, First Vice President Salvador Valdés insisted on supporting the fight against fuel theft. (RHC)
