Beijing.- Ruvislei González, head of the Asia and Oceania team at Cuba's International Policy Research Center, told Prensa Latina that taking advantage of the potentialities would even be successful within the Belt and Road initiative, in which 19 regional nations are participating.
González explained his proposal with the world services Cuba provides in education and health, spheres where internationally recognized achievements are exhibited.
He recalled that its medical collaboration, specifically, is present in about 60 countries, including China, and allowed that millions of low-income people could recover their sight. The Cuban official was attending this week the 5th edition of the event, in which along with colleagues, ambassadors and experts from the region and China analyzed for two days the progress and potentialities to strengthen cooperation in different fields.
The event also aimed to strengthen exchanges and promote high-quality development, connectivity and partnerships in the context of the Belt and Road initiative, which seeks to link China with other continents through a large network of infrastructure, businesses and multisectoral contacts.
