The National Electoral Commission (CEN) announced in this capital the official results of the constitutional referendum of last February 24 in which 6,816,169 citizens gave their approval to the new constitution of the Republic of Cuba.

The authorities of the Electoral Commission (CEP) in Las Tunas offered information on the referendum on February 24th, where more than 300,000 citizens of this province from eastern Cuba supported the Yes option to the new Constitution of the Republic.They also reported that 86.09 percent of the voters exercised their right to vote.
