Las Tunas, Cuba.- The jury was composed by writers Míriam Estrada Medina, Marcelo Leal Moreno and Domingo Peña. They highlighted the quality of the works during the 14th edition of the Décima al Filo Meeting, an appointment that gathers every year in the municipality of Guáimaro, Camagüey, poets from various regions around the national stanza of this Archipelago.
"En el acuario del Infierno" (In the Aquarium of Hell), a poetry book by Nuria Bárbara, received La estrofa de Oro and Décima fiebre (erotic theme) awards. Her poetry stands out for the beauty and depth of the images, in which love, pain and the problems of life converge. These are verses that fall in love with the reader in the style of How to find the way out / if there is no longer the spell of your arms, or a future / to start over again. / How to become a fish again/ behind my own wall.
Yelaine won A la Décima Prize, which recognizes the creation made by young people, with the book "Bengalas en la noche" (Bengallas at night). Fragments as "A woman grows before the dawn, / which crests bare their foundations / It is air, light and shadow at the same time / It is Aphrodite who rides on a wave," reflect her lyricism.
