Las Tunas, Cuba.- Zenia Ross Quiles, programmer of the Provincial Directorate of Culture, reported that the two main places chosen for the activities that will be developed on Saturday and Sunday are Las Tunas municipality and La Boca beach at the north of the territory, where there will be singular events such as a fashion parade and music for dancing.
"In the Buena Vista neighborhood, sports and cultural initiatives, with the collaboration of the Sports Department, are taking place from 9:00 am. At night, the Cultural Plaza of that place will host a gala and then the dancers will enjoy musical proposals.
Ross Quiles said "At the same time, the Vicente García Street, in the historic center, will hold La Noche Tunera and then a dancing time is planned in the Cultural Plaza. In addition, an audio and a screen with audiovisual options will be placed in the ngel Guerra Stadium, especially for young people."
The Hermanos Saíz Association, known as AHS, has maintained cultural spaces related to rock, electronic music, reggae, rap and hip-hop during the summer. It also offers several concerts, with the participation of Los Compinches ( rap and fusion), music group from Pinar del Río, and the local music groups such as Cubaclamé (danzón orchestra) and Señales (fusion and alternative music), in addition to other local artists that want to join to the festivities.
The end of the summer stage is also welcomed with the awards of two musical interpretation competitions, promoted by Radio Victoria, the provincial radio station.
The winners of the children interpretation contest Quiero Cantar (I want to sing) will be revealed at the gala scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Las Tunas Theater; and the winners of Ponle Voz, for adults, will be known in that same institution, but on Sunday night. The latter will welcome the participants in the contest and the public to meet the laureates.
Similar proposals will take place in all municipalities to say goodbye to these hot months, in which the enjoyment in family fills the population with new vigor.
