Quito.- The cooperation mechanism was established between the Catholic University of Cuenca and the Central Institute of Pedagogical Sciences of Cuba (ICCP), with the objective of implementing activities and projects towards the development of both parts.
Academic collaboration that generates lines of research, exchanges on postgraduate and continuing education, as well as the fostering of internships, training and pre-professional practices, and the mobility of students, teachers and administrative personnel, among others, are part of the pillars of the program.
The signing of the agreement was in charge of Ana Luisa Guijarro, Deputy Rector of the Ecuadorian High School; and the Cuban Ambassador in Quito, Rafael Dausá, representing the ICCP.
There are three cooperation agreements on education between the two countries.
Fernando Gonzalez, representative of the Cuban Ministry of Education (Mined) in Ecuador, told Prensa Latina that the previous two agreements were with the National University of Education (UNAE). Gonzalez said that it is very important for the Cuban Ministry of Education to establish this type of relationship, since it allows to make known everything that is done in Cuba to improve teaching and offer the experiences of the Caribbean state in this and other nations of the world.
