Botanical Garden: Reverence to Biodiversity
The cultivation of more than 120 species of threatened taxon and the maintenance of a vast palmetum with 132 established varieties of this family, represent the main contributions of the Botanical Garden of Las Tunas to the conservation of biodiversity.

Botanical Garden of Las Tunas Ensures Biological Diversity
The specialists of the Botanical Garden of this province work on an international project whose objective is the conservation of the Acacia roigii in Bahía de Malagueta protected area. The species is found only in the region of Las Tunas and is considered to be in danger of extinction due to the loss of habitat.
