Professionals from Las Tunas in Ginecology and Obstetrics Congress

Specialists from the Ernesto Guevara de la Serna General Teaching Hospital are participating in the 18th Congress of the Cuban Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which has been in session in Havana since the 8th and will close this Saturday.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The doctors Rabiel Cárdenas Peña and Bertha Hernández Almaguer, Second Degree specialists in Gynecology, together with Emma Dorycar Kayla, a third-year resident of Gynecology and Obstetrics, represent Las Tunas.

Cárdenas Peña, head of the "Guevara" Teaching Department, confirmed that the team participated in the pre-congress courses on simulation in obstetric emergencies, ultrasound markers in the second and third trimester of pregnancy, and surveillance of extremely severe maternal morbidity and mortality; in addition to presenting the results of the investigations carried out in the province.

Likewise, they participate in the debates on means of diagnosis and sexual and reproductive health addressed in the event, which approaches the challenges in reproduction and infertility, minimally invasive surgery, gynecology in pediatric, adolescence, middle, and advanced ages, and topics such as Oncology and breast conditions, besides medical-legal aspects in the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
