The Mártires de Las Tunas General Pediatric Teaching Hospital celebrates its 63rd anniversary today, immersed in an important investment process, the improvement of the 25 specialties in which it provides comprehensive care, and the improvement of its quality indicators.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Dr. María Cristina Cisneros Vázquez, director of the institution, exclusively told the Cuban News Agency that the center is committed to maintaining the vitality of all its services, despite the complex economic scenario that the country is experiencing. With committed personnel, from the medical staff to the administrative services, the hospital has contributed to the reduction of morbidity and mortality achieving a survival rate of 96.4 percent and an infant mortality rate of 0.15, according to the directive.
