195530512bddb94c6cfe81cd2b097745 LCaracas, Venezuela - I know her since the pregnancy of her mother, when her parents took care with zeal and care until she was born on November 6, 1991. In that time, Cubans were living the Special Period, and in those hard years, she may have lacked material things because of the humility of the family. Nevertheless, she did not lack, I assure you, the maternal and paternal affection that made her the beautiful person she is; a young woman that is committed to her profession and the principles of the Revolution.

She is characterized as a studious, responsible, an enthusiastic girl by the neighbors that interrelate with her in the María Eugenia Gonzalez Comprehensive Diagnostic Center, located in Fuerte Tiuna where she works as a community doctor since June 29 this year. In such place, she puts talent, knowledge and integrity at the service of the people that require her care.

AFTER THE VOTING IN THE UN

Minutes after the triumph in the General Assembly of the United Nations with the support of 187 countries to the resolution Necessity of ending the blockade of the United States against Cuba, we meet again and her joy for the resounding victory of the national claim suggests me the interview.

She says, "The world continues to support us in this struggle against this genocidal policy that the United States has imposed on us for almost 60 years. The words of Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla exposed with concrete examples the damage caused by the blockade to the Cuban population and defended with moral authority the Cuba's reasons for demanding the immediate cessation of this hostile policy that causes so many vicissitudes to our compatriots and damages relations with other countries.

She considers that Rodríguez Parrilla's intervention "revoked the cynicism with which the empire justifies this type of unconventional war that has caused enormous damage to the nation and is the main obstacle to the economic and social development of the country.

She comments "the Government of the United States cannot continue to disregard the international opinion rejecting the blockade, which is also described as a violation of international law, and the tightening of the siege and persecution of Cuba's efforts throughout the world must cease".

"We have already demonstrated it, she emphasizes, that despite the blockade Cuba will continue to be a free and sovereign country that offers equal opportunities to all people. Besides, we are going to continue overcoming those damages and sustaining the medical mission in Venezuela and in any nation in the world that needs us, because above all, Cubans are internationalists, supportive and we are well guided by the example of Che, of Fidel.

YOUTH AND COMMITMENT

Her balanced reasoning has its roots in a formation, since she was a little girl, committed to the just causes of humanity. I enjoy her reflections because they show a national emotion, the same with which thousands of Cubans celebrated in Venezuela the triumph of the Homeland and ratified their decision to continue accompanying the brave Venezuelan people and their constitutional Government in their stoic resistance to the imperial onslaught.

CONTINUITY

And now, Dixi is inspired by those principles and with satisfaction for the victory of the Homeland. She continues to adhere to the mission entrusted to her: to help alleviate the pain of her patients with the ethics instilled by the Cuban Revolution, which opened the doors to knowledge and allowed her to be a doctor, a dream cherished from childhood, in spite of the humility of the family.
