Health minister received the pullover of the Henry Reeve Contingent

José Ángel Portal Miranda, head of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), fulfills this Wednesday an extensive work schedule in the province of Las Tunas, where he will evaluate the management of the health and government authorities in the face of the high transmission and dispersion of the COVID-19 throughout the territory.

José Ángel Portal, minister of Health, visits Las Tunas Las Tunas, Cuba.- The day began with the flagging of a brigade of the Henry Reeve Contingent, made up of 36 professionals, who returned to Las Tunas to work in the red zone after having supported the confrontation with the COVID-19 for 24 months in Venezuela, and then, for three months, in the province of Ciego de Ávila.

Guizel Cutiño Pavón, provincial deputy director of Health, welcomed the doctors and recognized the excellent work they have done abroad and in other parts of the country, which they will now carry out in their province.

Lisdiana Sheila Herrera, a second-year medical student - and daughter of the Kenya-kidnapped doctor Assel Herrera - gave Portal Miranda and his escorts the pullover that identifies the Henry Reeve Contingent here.

The Cuban head of Public Health will visit the area of the Romárico Oro polyclinic and the Guillermo Domínguez hospital, in the municipality of Puerto Padre. Upon returning to the capital city, he will exchange with future doctors at the University of Medical Sciences and will visit isolation centers.
