ANEC called its members to its 9th Congress

In celebration of the 41st anniversary of the constitution of the National Association of Economists and Accountants (ANEC in Spanish), and the birthday of Ernesto Che Guevara -the greatest economist-, the call for the organization's Ninth Congress was announced on June 14. The event will start from the base delegations of each institution.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The congress will take place from June 12 to 14, 2024, to continue to contribute to the progress of the nation. In the call made by Ernesto Guevara López, president of Anec's provincial executive council, there is a call for the associates, with professionalism, creativity, and commitment, to analyze issues related to the transformations that are introduced in the Cuban model of social development and the internal life of the structure.

"In this congress, we will have as a guide the words of the President of the Republic and First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, who at the closing of the Eighth Congress called for strengthening the internal aspects of the organization, which will allow an intense, useful and contributing external life."

Economist and Accountants from Las TunasThese assemblies, which are starting all over the country, are the space to debate and propose the changes that ANEC needs in our nation. Another element that must play an important role in these approaches is the preparation to face in the current context the priorities of the work strategy until 2029.

"From the last congress to the present time, there have been transcendental actions, both in the country and worldwide, that have marked our economy and the functioning of the nation's processes: natural phenomena, the covid-19 pandemic, the worsening of the economic war, the effects of the inclusion of Cuba as a country sponsoring terrorism, the constant media wars to annihilate the Revolution, and they have not been able to achieve it," refers Guevara López.

In the face of this long road of adversities, the Association has sought mechanisms to guarantee the conditions to make professional development more attractive for its members.
