The Federation of Cuban Women celebrates is 63rd anniversary

To the delight of the Las Tunas women, the province will host the national event for the 63rd anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC by its acronym in Spanish), on August 23, after having obtained the Vanguard Condition in the emulation carries out by the organization every year.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Teresa Amarelle Boué, Secretary-General of the FMC, praised the work of the federates in the territory with more than 91 percent integration and effective integration of the new generations from the base, in the communities.

She emphasized that, in Las Tunas, six of the eight municipalities were outstanding, and the good practices of the women's and family counseling centers, as well as the gender violence counseling institutions that seek to get closer to the families and provide support to all women in a state of vulnerability.

In the territory, the female universe contributes and stands out in the production of food from different fronts of action, in energy saving, in the fight against crime, and shows ostensible achievements in local development projects.

The province, which has historically achieved good results in the actions of the Federation, is currently showing strengths in all indicators, as well as progress in the Program for the Advancement of Women, eight childcare houses, and around 665 workshop houses where creativity and social commitment are intertwined.

Amarelle Boué also announced that the provinces of Santiago de Cuba and Villa Clara achieved the condition of Outstanding, following in the footsteps of Las Tunas.
