More than 80 Engineers Graduate at the University of Las Tunas

More than 80 new engineers in the specialties of Agronomy, Computer Science and Industrial, received their graduates diploma in the University of Las Tunas, during the graduation of the Faculty of Technical and Agricultural Sciences (FCTA) of the institution.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Kárel Acosta Pérez, dean of the FCTA, congratulated the graduates on behalf of the highest authorities of the center. The doctor of Sciences said that those who graduate from the three academic programs have great challenges to face, related to the management of technological processes in the territory, the completion of the computerization of society and the protection of the people's food security in a climate change context.
Acosta Pérez stressed the work of a group of professors and workers who have trained them with responsibility, commitment and relevance. He also explained that in their instruction the synergy between teaching, production and extension activities was achieved, and urged the new professionals to be examples of sacrifice, modestly and competence in the companies and organisms where they were assigned.
Nolberto Licea Borrero, of the career of Agronomy, was selected the most integral graduate of the faculty, at the same time that he received the Scientific Merit Award, for his broad curriculum that includes the realization of 31 exams of Prize, 36 investigations of diverse themes and 18 scientific publications.
Licea Borrero told those present that his generation will honor the time they have lived and will do it with the fruit of their work. He assured that they will be dissatisfied, enterprising and, above all, revolutionaries. They will endeavor to return their dedication to the leadership of the country and continue writing the future.
The students that most stood out in the spheres of teaching, research, culture, sports and assistantship were awarded at the Graduation Day, including six students that graduated with honors and the institutions that provide permanent support to the educational process in the "House of Higher Studies."
