Velázquez Cobiella acknowledged that the territory have reached for two consecutive years the best results nation-wide in the entry to Higher Education, fruit of the systematic work here, along with good teaching coverage, which currently reaches a 97.7 percent. "It is essential to guarantee the training of future professionals, in order to maintain that stability," she said
Velázquez Cobiella also emphasized the need to stimulate and attend to teachers, to avoid their exodus to other sectors, as well as to study those centers and places with greater fluctuation of personnel to try to eradicate the possible causes.
The local authorities explained the alternatives they adopt to solve such issues, among which are the opening of new specialties in the pedagogical schools and the offer of intensive courses to twelfth grade graduates who did not obtain careers by the University of Las Tunas. In addition, a thousand 326 teachers are pre-registered to start the Bachelor in September, in the modality of Course for Workers.
This is the only territory in which all educational centers were already endorsed by the Health Directorate to open on September 3, likewise it has the lowest percent of schools with regular and poor evaluation in terms of infrastructure and maintenance.
