The municipality stands out in the indicators of promotion, assistance, vocational orientation, as well as in the training of the teaching staff, said Jorge Luis Velázquez Fernández, deputy general director of Education there. Relevant were also the results in admission to Higher Education with an average of approved of 94.57 percent - the highest reached by that region.
Velázquez Fernández pointed out that "the students of the Primary Level show a good preparation in the controls carried out with a view to the Comparative Regional Study, which will be done in May next to the third and sixth grade students in all Latin America. They achieved, as well, the first places of the knowledge competitions and deserved the second place in a national contest of monitors in Camagüey."
More than 6, 500 students attend General Education in Jobabo in 74 centers, of which 73 have good structural conditions. "The repair and maintenance plan covered seven institutions this year. Works has already been completed in six of them and the last one is currently being worked in. Only the Alejandro Cedeño school is evaluated as regular, and is included in the repairs plan of 2019," he said.
The Speech Club created two years ago in the ESBU 30 de Diciembre, the only one of its kind in the country, has become a project that currently involves students from Primary, Secondary, Pre-University and Technical Education throughout the municipality. The first municipal oratory event was held this year with great success, and one of provincial scope is already taking shape.
During the Provincial Act for the Cuban Educators' Day, the Manifesto de Montecristi polytechnic institute, venue of the celebration, was distinguished, as it reached in the current calendar the Third Crown granted by the National Program of Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture; as well as the maximum category awarded by the National Union of Education, Science and Sports Workers. Likewise, teachers, students and reinstated retirees who have excelled this school year were congratulated.
The municipalities of Puerto Padre and Majibacoa were also recognized for their achievements in the sector, and the Provincial Directorate of Education deserved of the José Martí Condition. During the day were awarded, in addition, the Maestros de la Patria and Rafael María de Mendive distinctions, and José Tey and Frank País García second degree medals to professionals with a relevant career.

Jobabo Stands out for its Results in Education

The achievements obtained at the end of the 2017-2018 school year, as well as the sustained work throughout the year, placed it among the most outstanding in the province, official of the sector reported.
