Las Tunas, Cuba.- According to the Vice President, "the Higher Education center has and should continue to influence local development, especially when in these times human capital is the main wealth we have." It is necessary to develop a communication program that links the school with the community and its publics, to have them informed and to act jointly ".
Morales Ojeda was concerned about the advances of science in that institution and emphasized its importance. "We have to use the research to solve the problems, we can not pretend to do the same investigations because we're going to get the same results," he said.
He also referred to "the need to increase the number of Doctors in the center to do science and not only in the pedagogical field, but in all others; and there is another problem the lack of publication of the studies: nowadays it is investigated more than what is published."
The Minister of Higher Education, José Ramón Saborido Loidi, affirmed that "pre-professional practices must be promoted in order to achieve a greater improvement of knowledge," regarding to the relationship between the University and companies in labor practices.
About the Master's studies both referred to the fact that the call is not to do research work of any kind, but rather scientific problems that solve specific issues in order to feel its impacts.
An important debate was worth the value of computerization in careers. "It is necessary to introduce the computer science in the educational processes and to apply it to the academy because that facilitates the work to the students so that they investigate more and the way is expeditious".
In this sense and related to social networks, the actions developed by the Social Observatory in the University were explained, especially to dismount and counter the campaigns in order to subvert the young people.
