The improvement in the efficiency indicators and the guarantee of continuity of studies to the 5,151 graduates from ninth grade are some of the main results obtained by the Secondary Education in this province, at the end of the current teaching calendar.

 

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Nílser Piñeda Cruz, provincial director of Education, told 26 Digital that a wide variety of opportunities were made available to 9th grade graduates for the continuity of their studies. The 18 pre-university institutes in the territory will welcome, next September, 2,0 91 young people, 41 percent of the total; meanwhile, 3,060 students will be enrolled in Technical and Professional Education, 59 percent of graduates.

The second place in the National Event of Pedagogical Circles of Interest and the third in the country in knowledge competitions with 34 medals (four gold, 10 silver and 20 bronze), also distinguished that teaching.

On the other hand, it is important to highlight that of the students that applied to the entrance exams to the Luis Urquiza Jorge Pre-university Vocational Institute of Exact Sciences, the 98.5 percent passed the three subjects.

Another significant achievement is that 691 students who completed that level were granted with the enrollment for pedagogical schools in the territory as the first option, who will integrate next school year to become teachers.
