Las Tunas, Cuba.- "We are convinced that we will begin the school period with elementary resources and with most conditions, despite the economic siege under which the country is today.

The director said that during the holiday season the schools have become workshops to fix all the furniture that has breaks, as well as textbooks and some workbooks. This reaches a greater dimension in the internal centers where accommodation facilities are also refurbished.

Regarding the sale of the school uniform, Piñeda Cruz said that despite the late entry of the fabric, the workshops have worked hard to meet the delivery of the modules on time.

He added that "we have been committed to the teachers' preparation; all schools dedicated a week in July to methodologically prepare their teachers for the new stage." He also referred to the stimulus that the new wage increase represents for workers in the sector, in order to continue improving the quality of work and have a high-level course.
