Las Tunas, Cuba.- The preparation of the school period began in April, with the purpose of ensuring its successful opening and raising the quality of the educational teaching process.
The General Teaching will have 83,489 students at the stage, 1,510 more than those who started last year. The teachings that increase their figures are Preschool, Primary, Adult, Technical and Professional education, as well as the pedagogical schools. In the same way, the number of full-time students increases, exceeding 4, 300 students.
A total of 636 educational centers and the two local universities enlisted to open the calendar at the planned facilities. At the headquarters of the University of Las Tunas, the enrollment exceeds 8,197 students, in its different study modalities.
According to the authorities of that level, this required an investigation of the infrastructure for the assurance of the classrooms and the technology, in order to guarantee that all the processes have the necessary requirements. The institution will undergo an external evaluation in November, for which it has been enlisting for five years with the aim of obtaining a higher category of accreditation.
Likewise, the Zoilo Marinello medical sciences university host more than 6,500 students, including postgraduate, and has more than 1,300 teachers. According to its rector, Dr. María Elena Mawad Santos, the 141 vertical interns, students who begin to train in different specialties from the sixth year constitute strength of this educational.
