The conditions were created in the 10 venues foreseen for the realization of the first call of the entrance exams to Higher Education, to which some 1,700 students of the territory are presented.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The schedule began today with Mathematics, the Spanish exam will be next Tuesday, May 8th, and it will conclude with History of Cuba , on Friday, the 11th.
The present process is distinguished because 393 students were already granted their careers directly. Of these, 85 are winners of national and provincial knowledge competitions, 302 belong to the University College and six are members of the National Pre selection to the Olympics.
The plan approved for the undergraduate regular course amounts 2,020 places, of which 1,371 are for graduates of the 18 pre-university institutes of the province. Medical and Pedagogical Sciences are the ones that will grant the most careers.
Yurixander Castillo Rojas, head of the Department of Pre-university in the Provincial Directorate of Education, said that orthography is essential to achieve a good score, and emphasized that "the test that contains 21 errors in any of the three subjects will be disqualified."
The official also highlighted the extensive preparation received by the applicants of all modalities.
The professors hope to achieve results better than of the previous year, according to the systematic controls developed since last September. The province obtained the first place in the country in 2017, with 90,4 percent of approved students. They estimate that this figure will behave this time between 91.4 and 92 percent, as a result of a long learning process.
