Services to the Elderly in Cuba Increase during 2017

In Cuba, 19.8 percent of the population are over 60 years old, which is why the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) increased services in 2017 to improve the quality of life of this age group.

Cuba´s health system reached favorable indicators in 2017, including an infant mortality rate of 4.1 per thousand live births, the lowest in the history of the country, said Roberto Morales, Minister of Public Health.
