The hospital already has Internet access for staff members who are in professional development.The external consultation area does not have the technology. However, doctors have access to the network via wireless to some services such as Orthopedics, for the follow-up of patients operated with hip fracture and other ailments.
Cartaya said "the aspiration is to computerize this care institution completely and place a desktop machine by service and room with a printer to access the digital medical record. This process is at the country level and aims to digitize the patient's medical records, facilitating access to the doctor from any medical facility in the country. "
The revitalization of the Information area, to be executed soon, is aimed at bringing the link there by optical fiber. That way they can check the intranet to provide the data to families about the status of their loved ones.
