The 36-year-old patient is 28.2 weeks pregnant and was hospitalized shortly after her arrival in order to be observed.
At the hospital the doctors performed the Zika virus testing and then was sent to the 'Pedro Kouri' Institute of Tropical Medicine (IPK), where the diagnose was confirmed on March 26.
The note reiterates that the patient is asymptomatic.
Tomorrow will start the second intensive phase against the mosquito Aedes aegypti, in order to prevent the spread of this and other infectious diseases such as dengue and chikungunya. (PL)
