Las Tunas, Cuba.- Eight medical careers including Medicine, Stomatology, Nursing, Hygiene and Epidemiology, Health Information System, Rehabilitation and Bachelor in Imaging and Medical Radiophysics are studied at the educational institution, which has a faculty of almost 1,200 professors. More than 80 foreign students from 25 nations are also enrolled there.
Dr. Maria Elena Mawad Santos, the Rector, told 26Digital that they have the staff, the material basis of study and life, as well as specialized laboratories to carry out a quality teaching process. There are more than 500 teaching scenarios previously accredited, among them: hospitals, stomatological clinics, rehabilitation rooms, polyclinics, homes for the elderly, and family doctors' offices.
