Cuba's stand at the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL)

Portugal's President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa visited Cuba's stand at the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL), where he was interested in that nation's tourist destinations.

Lisbon.- Nuno Fazenda, Secretary of State for Tourism, Trade, and Services, accompanied Rebelo de Sousa, and both officials exchanged impressions with Cuba’s Ambassador in Portugal, Yusmari Díaz, and a large group headed by Cuban Tourism Counselor in Spain and Portugal, Niurka Pérez.

Recognized as the most relevant tourism fair in Portugal, the BTL, which will run until March 5, has a new stand design that gives light to the CubaUnica tourism campaign.

Portugal ranked 11 among the major tourist markets to Cuba in 2022 and expects more tourists to visit it this year.

Pérez told Prensa Latina that as of this summer, direct Lisbon-Varadero fights will be offered and she bets on diversifying this route to connect Lisbon with Cayo Coco and Havana. (PL)
