The two operating rooms of the 14 de Junio Hospital, in the municipality of Jobabo, are well-known throughout the province of Las Tunas for having very low levels of infestation; even lower than the parameters of most the country's health centers and other nations.

Jobabo, Las Tunas.- The "14 de Junio" assumes about 10 operations per day; about a quarter are patients who are 50 or 60 years old, with pathologies ranging from inguinal hernias, the most representative, to complex carcinogenic tumors.

The director of Health in Jobabo, Dr. Lien Valera Quesada, highlights the experience of the team, which has advanced technology for monitoring during operations; they also have at their disposal a blood bank, anesthesiology, and intensive care services.

The lack of resources does not limit the assistance center of this southern municipality to support the Provincial Hospital with about 30 surgeries per month, cover the needs of the municipality of Colombia, and serve patients from other locations who come here because they have good references about the hygiene of the operating rooms and the professionalism of the staff.
