Fight Against the Aedes aegypti Mosquito in Las Tunas
Intensive fumigation treatments and the control of possible outbreaks and febrile cases are actions carried out in Las Tunas by the Health System, with the aim of reducing the infestation rates of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the main arboviruses transmitter that complicates the local epidemiological panorama.
Intensive Phase of Vector Control Begins in Las Tunas
The fifth month of the year arrives with its customary rains and high temperatures that favor the appearance of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. In order to face this situation, an intensive phase of adulticide treatment (fumigation) will be carried out in more than 24,600 locations in the four health areas of the provincial capital.
