Radiocuba towards the So-called Analog Blackout

The Radiocuba Radio and Television Broadcasting Company, created on October 1, 1995, has more than 1, 200 transmitters located throughout the country.

 

A broad investor process runs throughout the nation, to expand digital television. This is a commitment that, since 2013, included technological progress in each of the Cuban provinces, also Las Tunas.

Guaranteeing the quality of television and radio signals, as well as communications in the eight municipalities of this eastern territory- even the most intricate places - is the working principle of a group celebrating 23 years of existence.

Major efforts are aimed to assume the challenges of the transition from analog to digital broadcasting . Officials of the sector announced that among the immediate objectives is the gradual increase in the power of the transmitters. The digital signal is thus optimized in each home, before the so-called analog blackout, foreseen in Cuba for the year 2021.
