The harvesting exercise carried out earlier this week at the Majibacoa sugar mill, where the 2018-2019 sugar campaign will begin in Las Tunas, was qualified as successful by the specialists.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- That more than 92 percent of the industrial machinery responded, without major setbacks, to the control of its technicians, corroborated the quality of the repairs, executed in time by the staff.
Víctor Torres González, director of the factory, said that the area of joggers and mills achieved positive results in all its components, which made it possible the milling of the energy cane to guarantee the fuel (bagasse), with a view to the trip and regulation tests of the boilers, on the 30th of the current month.
"In view of such progress, we are planning to carry out the general test of the factory on November 6th, and start the milling before the 15th, the official date set," explained Víctor.
This demonstration of discipline, competence, and efficiency must be encouraging for the workers of the three other sugar mills that will be in operations this sugar season in Las Tunas: Antonio Guiteras, Colombia and Amancio Rodríguez.
