Las Tunas, Cuba.- Gathered at the "Pepito" Tey campus, young people and teachers collected signatures to express their rejection to the economic siege policy that the successive US administrations have maintained for almost 60 years.
Parallelly, from the social network Twitter and through the #NoMasBloqueo, #HacemosCuba and #UnblockCuba hashtags, they ratified to the world their support to the draft resolution condemning the blockade presented by Cuba to the United General Assembly, which was on debate Wednesday, before being voted a day later.
"The world knows that this generation does not want to live under the shadow of the blockade, that we repudiate it and we will bring it down, and we will stand firm to our principles at whatever price is necessary," they said in a statement.
"The Cuban youth from the university classrooms will reject all interference as well as the amendments, the false accusations about the human rights and guarantees in Cuba".
