The banking system consolidates opportunities of electronic payments for self-employed workers, while at the same time boosts new services for the non-state sector of the country.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- "It allows me to make and receive bank transfers from companies that have contracts with us. We no longer have to go through the cumbersome process of coming to make a check, take it out and achieve the transfer; everything is done through electronic banking. It also gives us the possibility of being able to do it from the Internet; we do not have to come to the bank for those procedures, which makes our business much easier. "
"Another advantage is that we do not have to take money to another province if we are going to purchase of materials and supplies; we can resolve this matter with the magnetic card or through Transfermóvil, making the transfer from the telephone and without running the risk of walking with large amounts of cash," said Crey Ernesto García Caballero, who is dedicated to the printing of documents and graphic arts."
Other criteria value how profitable is the extension of the digital channels of payment in Cuba, especially when as of December 7, 2018 a new regulation establishes the requirement that the self-employed have a fiscal bank account.
"I use the kiosk a lot (another of the automated payment channels), because there I streamline my banking procedures, I do not have to queue, I sit on the machine, see my account statement, the transfers that companies have made to me, because I work mainly for the state sector ", explains Carlos Manuel Ramos Sevila, a typist from Las Tunas.
Thus, the Cuban banking system moves in accordance with the updating of the country's economic model.
