The Minister indicated that the tenor of the proposal is not known in the Government for the moment

The opposition Citizen Community (CC)´s intention to destabilize President Luis Arce´s administration through a trial of responsibilities was exposed on Thursday after a denunciation by an official source.

La Paz.- It is a political action, so the legal support does not exist and it is part of this destabilizing strategy, as claimed by the Presidency Minister María Nela Prada.

The Minister assured in an interview that the forces opposed to the process of change have been seeking destabilization and governmental erosion.

Prada lashed out at the trial proposal made by the group of former President Carlos Mesa after the appointment of Eduardo del Castillo as Minister of Government.

Current law sets forth that President Arce may remove those ministers censured, although it also authorizes him to reappoint them.

The Minister indicated that the tenor of the proposal is not known in the Government for the moment, but contradictions are seen in the CC ranks.

On the one hand, while this demand is raised, a bill is presented to regulate the consequences of censorship, acknowledging that no regulation in force establishes the effects of this legislative process.

Mesa refuses to take responsibility for his role as a promoter of the 2019 coup d’état but continues "to seek, not only a process of political destabilization but of confrontation between Bolivians." (PL)
