Las Tunas youth went out last night to the Major General Vicente García Plaza with lighted torches, arriving from three points of the city.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The scene, traditionally repeated here on the eve of the anniversary of the birth of José Martí, recalls that of 1953, when Fidel Castro, at the head of the so-called Centennial Generation, invited not to let the Apostle die.

The main flag in the wind was the support for the constitutional referendum on February 24, a call to the country that is built from all. That is why the organizers insisted that more than a march of Las Tunas youth; it belongs to the whole people.

The culmination of the activities last night was a cultural gala with the performance of talented non-professional artists.
