Las Tunas delegation to the 10th Congress of the Federation of Cuban Women was flag-bear with the attendance of Teresa Amarelle Boué, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and secretary general of the organization.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The ceremony was held at the Vicente García Memorial museum, in this city, where the 21 delegates and two guests, expressed their pride of having been chosen by their peers to represent them in the great event, to celebrate the next month in Havana.

Yiseth Oliva Martí, a young police officer from the municipality of Majibacoa, expressed the decision of the women of Las Tunas to take on the new challenges and their support to the brotherly people of Venezuela, who are experiencing difficult times due to the harassment of the U.S. government.

Amarelle Boué told the Cuban News Agency that being delegate for this eastern territory means a lot to her, because she is from the municipality of Amancio, where she began to take the first steps to consecrate herself to the Revolution.

This Congress is very important because it will be held at a time when the country is immersed in an economic battle and women have a high responsibility in this, said the secretary general of the FMC, who assured that the constitutional referendum on February 24th will be another great victory for the revolutionaries.
