Telecommunications workers, the Desoft Computer Applications Company, RadioCuba, Copextel, Correos de Cuba and the Youth Computing and Electronics Clubs, gathered in the city of Las Tunas to reaffirm their commitment to continue developing technological processes in favor of the economy, services and society.
A representation of more than three thousand workers belonging to the Union of Communications met in the provincial act for the Day of the Worker of the branch where it were recognized the results of the province in these areas and to confirm that they maintain the same premise that in 1958 motivated the Commander Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, when he broadcasted the signal of the Radio Rebelde radio station for the first time from the Sierra Maestra.
Professionals from Etecsa and the Youth Computing and Electronics Clubs with more than 20 years of uninterrupted work and extensive experience received the Mario Muñoz Monroy decoration, an award that recognized their work and perseverance, mainly in the municipalities of Colombia and Majibacoa.
Belkis María Cañete Rodríguez, head of the Commercial Office of Etecsa in "Colombia", told the Cuban News Agency that receiving this distinction not only summarizes the years of work in the institution, but also represents all the effort and dedication that it is printed every day to their labors, even more taking into account the demanding challenges in the areas of Communications, Computing and Electronics.
