Workers and managers of the Integral Forestry Company in Las Tunas stand up for a much more profitable 2019 in the activities that measure their management, after a calendar marked by many limitations and difficulties, but also of effort and positive results.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Such was the opinion of those who commented on the report presented by the engineer Adalberto Guerrero López, director of that entity in the province, during the yearly balance. They defended the criterion that if they work hard, cohesively and supported by science and technology, they can get more encouraging achievements in the Life Task and the protection of the environment.

All the plans were fulfilled last year, except for the export of charcoal that failed in a little more than 500 tons, due to the affectations by the rain and the unfair competition of other companies that acquire it as merchandise.

So that in 2018 there were produced 2,120 cubic meters of sawn timber, 12, 261 boxes for the food program, 44, 653 parts of hives, 22, 332 pallets, 3,179 cubic meters of roundwood; they also advanced in the development of forests, parameters with results above expectations.

As a culmination of these merits, the entity satisfied the commercial production plan, ascendant to more than 23 million pesos, to the 102 percent; while it entered 23 million 300 thousand for sale concept and obtained over one million 300 thousand pesos in utilities.

The balance, chaired by Máximo Labrada Álvarez, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Cuban Communist Party; Osleidys Geoane Ríchardson, head of the Department of Forestry, of the Flora and Fauna Company, and leaders of the Central Union of Cuban Workers (CTC), and the Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment in Las Tunas, among others, constituted the best occasion to reaffirm the commitment to boost each of the productive lines, especially those with exportable possibilities.
