Jobabo, Las Tunas.- Gleivys Figueredo González, director of the Base Business Unit of Aqueduct and Sewerage in this southern municipality, explained that all the equipment and necessary resources for its completion are available in place since some time now.
The official also said that, at the moment, the installation of the electrical system of the building is in charge of local workers; the interior floor is being placed, and at the conclusion of these actions the work on access roads will begin.
Although Figueredo González did not specify the exact date for the completion and start-up of the plant, it is expected to be delivered by the end of March or the beginning of April, for which they work intensively after the arrears due to the lack of workforce from the outset.
This installation is part of a strategy of the country to mitigate the salinity of groundwater and the deficit of drinking water caused by climate change, which is starting to take its toll on the island.
