The engineer Rosa María Martínez, head of the Provincial Road Center, pointed out that a great investment was made during 2016 in the Northern circuit, on the road that connects Camagüey with Manatí. There ground movement of 3.3 kilometers was completed, and other six were paved, with the placement of 8,000 tons of hot asphalt concrete.
"About 2 million 798 thousand pesos were allocated to the constructive actions, carried out by the Ministry of Construction in that circuit, in which six construction sites were also built, 13 bridges were repaired and two were renewed" .
"About six kilometers of road were resurfaced on the Central Highway, as part of the conservation program during the year 2016; as well as minor repairs were made to 29 bridges and 38 drains. We also worked on patching and sealing cracks and in ground movement in a kilometer and a half of the Las Tunas-Bayamo road, where we will continue working. "
The resources of the Provincial Road Center are currently set to the execution of a drainage work in Cañada Honda, in the limits with the province of Holguín. It also works in the interception of the avenues Camilo Cienfuegos and Carlos Juan Finlay, in the capital of the province.
The Provincial Road Center has planned, through the repair and maintenance plan, the placement of 8,000 tons of hot asphalt concrete this year to continue the construction works in the roads Las Tunas-Bayamo, Manatí-Puerto Padre and Amancio-Guayabal.
